Yamaha 9.9 hard to turn engine

I have a 9.9 yamaha and the engine is very hard to turn I removed the rope cover and used a ring spanner to free the engine from the fly wheel nut

it seemed to work and i started the engine and worked good but after a couple of days i went to start the motor again and the engine was jammed again can someone help me solve this problem

hello

is this a 2 stroke or 4?

the normal causes are water in the cylinder or the lower unit is locked up. although I have seen the lower oil seal carrier on the 9.9/15 actually corrode and squeeze the drive shaft.

look at the spark plugs for rust. look in the gear case for water

Thanks for your replay Its a 2stroke & I think the oil seal carrier is corroded because its hard to turn on the shaft altough i removed it from the engine but it seems that it is jammed from the gearbox side as well do you think that both seals can be dammaged. what do you think the damage in th gearcase can be
