Ok, first, the dealer did not do a good job of setting this engine up (Most of the wires were plugged into the wrong wire in the motor). Runs fine, steady power, but the maximum rpm at wot is about 4500. The book calls for 5500 or so. 1) Should I check out the tach or make some kind of adjustment on the tach? 2) Or, could the throttle be out of adjustment? <br />*** I have the same engine (but carburetor) on another boat and it would stall out after running full throttle for 5-10 minutes until I reduced the maximum throttle setting. Is this one the opposite where I should increase the max throttle setting? Or is the prob more likely in the tach? Dealer is worthless. Took me 3 months to get the manual that was supposed to come with it.
