My 175 merc. sport jet has started to burn a lot of oil . Is there a setting on the oil injection? The compression is good, it is a little sluggish to get on the step but then runs fine. Any suggestions would be appreciated thanks again for any help.

I'm not sure about the injection setting, but I'm guessing that if it is loading on oil, that is the reason it is sluggish taking off, too much oil in the mixture.

Hard to describe, whn the throttle linkage is at idle position there is an alignment mark on the oil injection arm of the linkage that should line up with the mark on the casting.<br /><br />LOL, I tried to cut/paste from PDF (adobe)...saving image to clipboard...snapshot....seems its beyond me. Saved image elsewhere-no matter what I do i can't post diagram here. Send me email addy if you want 175 manual
