my brother inlaw has a johnson 65hp, 1964 i think he just bought and it wont stay in forward or reverse, he has tryed to adjust cables and thought he had it fix but under a load it jumps out any help?
1st will it stay in gear with the cables disconnected, if not it sounds like a bad clutch dog, or misadjusted shift linkage. should post in the johhny/rude forum.
