The motor throttle arm needs to push toward the rear of the motor to advance the throttle however the controls for mercury all seem to pull toward the front of the boat. The local merc dealer says all mercs pull but mine pushes and cannot be changed. Has anyone else seen this before? The shift cable pulls and that is correct. I think I was sold the wrong controls but the dealer says not.
