I just had my '95 Mariner 75 HP serviced because it was running rough. Along with a "tune up" I requested that the dealer service the throttle/gear shift that was really stiff. I got the boat back....They cleaned the carbs and replaced the throttle/gear shift cable. It was running better, but after 5 minutes a constant "beep" from the remote throttle started. After reading some posts here, I guess this is a high temperature warning. The water pump was relaced about 50 hours ago. The motor was running cool before service...when the alarm sounded I checked the water flow from the motor and it was a normal temperature. Is it possible that the service tech did not connect something properly when he replaced the cable? Thank You
