Re: impellor wont come off
If the impeller is stuck on the drive shaft, you can try to pry it off with a punch or screwdriver and hammer. If it still doesn't want to came off you might have to cut it off with a chisel. Don't lose the key that fits in the slot of the impeller. When you get the old one off, clean the drive shaft real good to remove any corrosion. You can put a little grease on the shaft. Mercury makes an impeller with a center that doesn't corrode if want want to try one of them. The next time you service your water pump it wont be so difficult. They should be changed at least every two years.
