I was wondering what some of your expert opinions on the pros and cons of rejetting for high elevations. I have an 1988 merc 80hp. The lakes i fish at are usually 5700-4500 feet. I have got away with out rejeting on my old boat but this one is giving me some trouble. I beleieve i have solved a swith box issue i had. The motor trolls pretty well for a big motor and runs well when your going fast but seems to stumble and have trouble when starting to get on plain. It sounds like its flooded and loaded up bad. By takeing it real easy and giving it time it finally clears and then runs very well on top end. It seems like a fuel type problme too me. Any thoughts on this issue? It seems like the main jets are easy to change on this engine. Thanks Joe
