5hp Mariner has been standing for 8 years

My 5Hp mariner about early 80's model with seperate petrol tank has been standing for 8 years, it has not been winterised as you guys call it. I live in South Africa where everything goes ;-) What should I do first before trying to start it up first after so long? Any suggestions and comments welcome .....

use the red aearch function at the top of this page. search for "awakening a sleeping outboard" it's all covered there.
