older 115 merc. need info.

picked up a older merc. (1150) 115 hp serial # 2837306. anyone help me with the year?<br /> I run a 18' fishrite with a 60 and 9.9 merc thought I'd try the 115 but will probally just clean it up and trade the 60 and the 115 for something bigger. it looks in the mid 80's no power tilt but need some help from you merc. guys out there. thanks

Make sure the max spark adavance is set to 21 degrees REGARDLESS of what the old sticker says.<br /><br />=W
