Yamaha 225 Four Stroke Flushing

I just bought a new 275 Aquasport with 225's on it. The dealer said that I only needed to flush the motors using the hose connection. The owners manual says both are good. It seems that a better flush would be with the motors running with muffs. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance. John

PT-if you use the hose connection DO NOT run the motors...hopefully they told ya' that...and you're right-the muffs do the better job

zzzz - Yes I learned that lesson many years ago on a Johnson 150. Fried the impeller but no engine damage.
