Can anyone tell me what the idle timing setting should be on this motor I know what the full throttle setting is. I broke the plastic linkage by the stater so when I replace it I need to know what the idle timing should be.Thanks

'98 115hp - 2 cycle - i used 25 degrees BTDC for full advance and 5 degrees ATDC for full retard with the static timing method. My manual is only throgh '98 year model though and I don't know if that means they changed the motor or not - all i can offer

Thanks for the help I would think mine should be the same. I have a call to the dealer but you know how that can be.
