We are having some issues with our 99 Merc 115, the motor starts well and runs good in idle, she also run wells at full, half and 1/3 throttle, the issue that we are having is if we just put her in gear and try trolling around at low speed and low RPM, she begins to bog down and smoke, also a little shaking...

The fuel is from early last year, did not use it much, there should be stabilizer in there, I have also noticed the fuel line from the tank is not in the greatest shpae as well as being extremely long...I have heard that chaning the hose and primer ball might do the trick since air might be getting in, sounds like that might be the case since everythign runs well at higher RPMS...Thoughts and help!

If you have last years fuel, burn it up at wide open throttle, drain it, or add some fresh. Its nearly a year old and lucky it burns at all. Obviously if the fuel line is bad replace it. Use quality parts. Mercury dealer in your case.

Get rid of the fuel! Put some Sea Foam in the next few tanks.

See if you can borrow a portable tank from someone with new gas in it and hook it directly to the motor, will elimninate the possible bad fuel or line and go from there.
