I thought I posted this yesterday, but I guess not. I'll try again.<br /><br />I recently replaced the impeller on my 1985 115hp Mariner and after I put the foot back on it's now stuck in forward. The impeller works fine (i.e., it's pumping water now), but I'm always in forward.<br /><br />When I took took the foot off, I made sure to put the motor in forward. When I went to put the foot back on, it wouldn't quite go all the way on. The "gear shaft" on the foot lined up with the "gear shaft" on the motor, but the foot wouldn't go all the way on. I had my son put the the motor in reverse and the foot went the rest of the way on. What's the solution?
