Help with Info on my outboard?

Hi everyone, first time posting here, but looks like a ton of knowledge at this site.<br /><br />I just recently purchased a used boat and motor from a guy, motor runs great, but I need to get a trim tab for it and it could use a new prop. I have no idea what model or year it is. I believe it's a 1991 or 1992. <br /><br />Here's the info:<br />Mercury, 25 HP, 2 strk, short shaft, elec start, SN OD088931, looks to be a 2 cyl, top cowl has alternating blue stripes instead of the red merc uses now.<br /><br />My questions are:<br /><br />Can anyone tell me what model and year this engine is?<br /><br />What is the original prop size and pitch for this motor?<br /><br />I would really appreciate any help with this and thank you in advance for your time.<br /><br />Scott

Welcome Trooper,<br /><br />That would indeed be a 1992 Model Merc. As for the original prop, that's hard to tell as dealers prop them based on application. What are you gonna run her on?<br /><br /> iboats propfinder

Thanks Rick,<br />I've got rigged on a 15' xpress duck boat, 46" wide on the bottom. Plan on using it mainly as a duck hunting rig on resevoirs and rivers, but will also do a lot of fishing with it this spring and summer. I just don't want to put the wrong one on and mess something up.<br /><br />Scott
