I have an 1986 Mercury 850. It has new plugs and rebuilt carbs. The engine idles great, and at 1500 r.p.m. runs fine. When you advance throttle any further, fast or slow, the engine will not advance and stalls. it acts like it is either not getting enough gas or is flooding out. Any ideas
<br /><br />Try fattening-up the idle mixture 1/4 turn. But I think you still have some main jet restrictions.
