Was just fussing over my motor today noticed the tilt bolts on each trim pump have some "play" if motor is lifted (or pulled back). I mean the trim cyl mounting bushings.

Trim does work fine. They have been greased recently.

Looks like bushings may be worn-Or is this normal?

Did a search, checking my manual and havent seen anything.

Looking for "wear" items so motor performs its best.

thanks.

Mercury doesn't make any bushings for the top bolts but I have seen them drilled and bushings made but you need to use the smallest size availably so don't clean it out to big, most auto parts store have misc. bushings

thanks laddies,
Plan to take off today.

30 yr old motor i'd imagine those bushing would wear as forward thrust puts pressure on the bushings.

Found lower mounts needed tightened and upper mount seem tight. Upper mounts look like a job to replace as powerheads gotta come off(?).

Small amount of play should not matter.
