Hey everyone!!! i'm new here and new to boating so I really could use some help. I just inherited a 1979 Boat with a Mercury 50 HP engine. Its been sitting around for almost 15 years. This is my question(s)
1 Do you have any good manuals for the novice that i could buy to help in start the engine?
2 The cables in the front are frozen Throttle and theres another cable I dont' know what its for ,maybe to lower the engine??
if anyone could give me any ideas I'd be very appreciative thanks Erik snowstud98@hotmail.com

Eric go on ebay to find a used manual, buy a mercury manual not some off the wall brand most of them don't even make good toilet paper. Disconnect the cables from the engine to see that it shifts alright thats the bottom cable if it does remove the cables from the box, if they are whats stuck you are probably better off to just replace them
