I have a 1982 mercury 90hp i6 motor that I just bought. well after getting it on the boat and controls hooked up i noticed that its stuck in forward. I pulled lower unit and the shifting lever turns without shifting(feels like not connected to the gears) is this known for happening? how hard of a fix, do i need a new lower unit?
