Just bought an older boat at auction-no info-- The motor has the serial # 2397999 on the lift hinge? No other numbers can be found anywhere at all.<br />It also says Mercury 1250 Thunderboldt 125hp six Black motor cover silver band with red letering. There is a lightning bolt on the number 1250.<br /><br />I have tried the websites "determine the age by SN" and it comes back as an invalid number--we have checked the number and it is clearly correct and the only one we have been able to locate.<br /><br />Any ideas to determine its age?<br />Thanks,Wendy
