have outlet gases to come out of here?

I have a Mercury 2-stroke 4 HP. It stood in the workplace for a year. But on Monday I need it urgently and so I checked the motor today. Now I'm not quite sure, if a certain position is a outlet for outlet gases or for cooling water. Please be so kind and check the pictures http://www.phytoplankton.info/download/P1010523k.jpg and http://www.phytoplankton.info/download/P1010524k.jpg to understand what I mean (the pictures are 75 k and 25 k).<br />When operating the engine outlet gases came out of the openings marked "B" and (little) water out of the small tube marked "A".<br />Please tell me if this is correct so or do I habe a problem with the cooling water circuit (impeller?).<br />Please don't hesitate with answering, because I need the boat on monday...<br />Thank you very much<br />Richard
