Hi<br /><br />I am from the UK and i have taken my Mariner home to give it a service.<br /><br />I have a couple questions ( i am stuck) and i will appreciate your help.<br /><br />1. How do i find the serial number for me to trace the age? <br /><br />2. I need to replace the Carb (cracked), and the whole cable bit that connects to the spark plugs. Does the manual on from this site for Mercury Outboards, 2-40hp, 1-2 Cyl. 1965-1989 covers this engine - including parts replacements? I am also thinking about replacing the shaft gears as the engine has been struggling to get into gear from reverse to forward.<br /><br />Please help, Many thanks
