Did I do it right - Merc. 60 hp EFI ???

My 'owners' manual tells me nothing - no around to help me - so I did what I thought was right.<br />Attached the rabbit ears & turned on water -<br />Disconnected the fuel line from the tank -<br />followed the fuel line to the filter -<br />disconnected the hose from the filter going into the motor -<br />started motor and let it run at a little high rpm -<br />inserted 'fogging can tube' into hose -<br />let it run until it stalled, used 3/4 can (no smoke at all came out).<br />Turned motor off - attached fuel hose tightly to filter & clamped it.<br />Turned off water & took off rabit ears.<br />That's it - did it right I hope???

You have a four stroke engine so there is no need to introduce fogging oil into the fuel system. Changing the engine oil and lower unit oil and running it a bit takes care of the bottom end of the engine and gearcase. Removing the spark plugs and fogging each cylinder would be ok. Adding stabil or SeaFoam to the fuel and running the engine long enough to ensure this additive reaches the fuel injectors and fuel system protects it from gumming up during storage. As a precaution, use SeaFoam in every tank (or every other tank) of fuel during the operating season to keep the system clean. SeaFoam is good for your car as well.

Actually its NOT very well protected if all you did was introduce fogging oil into the fuel system Fogging oil is not a fuel system protector. Its a corrosion protection intended to protect internal mechanical parts of a two stroke engine since they do not have oil in the crankcase like a four stroke. It will not keep the fuel system from getting gummed up due to degradation of the fuel over over time. If you did indeed add stabil or seafoam to the fuel and then ran it long enough to get the additive into the fuel system, you should be ok. The only way you can get fogging oil into the cylinders is to spray it into the intake or through the spark plug holes. The situation is defferent with a two-stroke.

Ditto.<br /><br />You need to undo what you have done and winterize it properly... <br /><br />You can run it on a "winterization" blend of fuel.<br /><br />Recipe:<br />Try 1 gallon of gas. <br />2x the recommended stabil<br />2x the amount of TCW3<br />2x the amount of seafoam<br /><br />run it until you are certain the "blend" is being run through the engine. ( it will smoke a little )

Is that recipe o/k for injectors?
