My 1994 merc 150 2.0 L has a missfire at idle and in mid range, runs great at WOT. I have found that the right side cylinders are not firing at idle. Hi low stator resistance is 3.6 k and 3.8 k ohms. I'm not sure where else to look.

Sure sounds like a low speed stator coil problem. You really in a DVA meter to measure the peak voltage output of the stator coils. The low speed coil should output ~180 volts (AC).

I doubt your switchbox would work a WOT and not at idle speeds. However, these switchboxes are known to fail in the oddest of ways. Truely the most unreliable part of the merc ingition system (that and the stator).

If you do get a new stator get a CDI/Rapair stator not OEM, nothing beats CDI/Rapair.
