Default 99 Yamaha C90 No Electrical Power

I just replaced my key switch in the control box.It was damaged in an attempted theft. I have a side mount (703) control box. After replacing switch nothing happens when I turn the switch.I checked the connections three times and checked all the fuses I could find. There is no power to the red power wire going to the solenoid even before the fuse and while turning switch. Motor is dead. I don't know what else to check. Thank you for your help.

A service manual would be a great help for youon this and many other service problems. Try the library, the tab at the top of thepage,amazon.com,ebay,etc. Mean time trace with a meter from battery to switch, switch to solinoid all hot side connections. Then all ground side connections.Be sure all switch connections are same as originals.A manual should give you a schematicand a test procedure for the start circuit.Boating industry of america color code chart at:www.brokeboats.com,says red is unprotected12v from battery, red w purple is protected 12v from battery, purple is 12v from ignition switch, yellow w red is ignition sw. to starter solinoid,Black w yellow magneto short to kill, yellow w black choke, black all grounds. Hope this is some help.

I found my problem. The neutral safety switch was damaged in the attempt. Thanks for your help.
