I have a 1983 (I think) Mariner outboard on a small sailboat. I would like to have it charge the battery. What do I need to buy/add? If someone can help I can get the Model/serial numbers.
I did a little more research and thought I'd post what I found in case somebody else can use the information.<br />Mercury Parts Express lists the parts to do the job under "Accessories" for this engine.<br />Here are the numbers:<br /> 16838A 4 RECTIFIER KIT <br /> 16837A 2 ALTERNATOR KIT <br />Thanks for your help.
