I have a 1992 Merc. 150 V-6. I replaced the water pump and thermostats after it overheated last time out. I now notice a lot of water exiting the upper exhaust ports when running on plane. The water exiting the pee hole is 145 degrees but the stream looks weak at idle. The engine is not overheating, but it never had a lot of water exit the upper exhaust port before the over heating incident. The engine is running fine, but does his sound like a faulty poppit valve? Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks, Joe.
