Engine breaks down under power in the high rev range. sound like loss of spark or fuel starvation. I recently replaced wire harness by soldering new ones to existing because I couldn't
get to the harness plugs etc. Checked fuel diaghram and looks stretched should it be taut?
The motor did run OK on the test run but developed this problem after a couple minutes.
What would be the checks to do for this type of problem.

Thanks okie for the reply, Stator had been checked however we adjusted the idle screw which was about 4 turns out. I adjusted to 1 and 1/4 turns and the problem disappeared. Dont know why this would effect the high rpm range?
Will also replace diaphragm to improve performance. Dartmouth
