Went ahead and bought this engine today (ser#4143371). Needs some work but overall looks nice and tight. Im pretty sure I know the basic need to do's before I start in on troubleshootin, but while Im waiting on my manual to get here, would like to get a jump start. Former owner says he never changed plugs (in over 12 years) so thats something I can do without remorse tomorrow. He had NKG's i her and from what I can find recommended plug is Champ L76V's Can anyone confirm and give me gap stetting? I am guessing .030 but would like to be sure.
