1977 115hp merc what is it worth on market?

hey everyone!<br /><br />not sure if i want to keep this or put my 40hp on boat...so wondering how much this engine would be worth if i sold it...runs nice comes with all controls and gas tank with tilt and trim!<br /><br />thxs zort

Ummmmm 115 to 40 hp......... think hard on what you expect to do with said boat - that's a big downgrade in HP.<br /><br />That said....... I'd say $1500 - $2000 assuming it's fairly pristine, fresh water, and in a lakes area with high demand for good used outboards.<br /><br />-W<br /><br /><br />-W

I am selling my boat with a 72 Merc 115hp to upgrade. The motor is seized. It is on ebay and (EDIT: Offers to buy or sell are not allowed here.) PS: Thanks Clam Camino for all your help with diagnosis and tips on earlier post.
