I had no water coming out of my 35 hp merc. 1987 motor at idle, I took the lower off replaced the impellar and all gaskits, put it all back together and I still don't get a tell tale stream at idle? I cleaned out the water vents also? Any help would be appericated.

CHeck the opening where the telltale exits the motor housing. Quite common to find that mud wasps have plugged up the opening with mud. Happened to me twice this summer alone. Take a small stiff wire and remove any obstructions.Hopefully everything is working fine 'behind the scenes'.

Alternate way to clean it is to blow compressed air up the telltale.

Mine wouldn't pump water after sitting for a long time. After making sure all of the passages were clear, I "primed" it by filling it with water. I removed the line that leads to the water outlet and filled the whole thing up with the garden hose. It's worked fine ever since.
