Yup - Those chrome bore motors look like they need to go to the dentist and get some fillings. It's normal . . . those motors are great!! That's why it's still alive after 23+ years.

Here is some additional information: All cyl compression 120psi, except the one in question - 60 lbs - shows score marks (broken ring?) Is there a procedure to rebuild that cyl - rebore? sleeve? & are oversize pistons or rings available?
yes, yes, and yes. in that order.usually its rebore ths cylinder and install oversized piston and rings. if its really bad, you can have it sleeved.you are not the first to overbore a merc v6.
By your serial number there are no oversized pistions available except for wisco and the engine will need to be resleeved of replated, you cannot run piston and rings in a alumuiun bore and make it live
