I tell you guys... I must have done something wrong in my past life because
I have now discovered pitting on the bottom journal of the crank. The motor
had suffered from water ingestion and we are currently working on curing
that.

The pitting is quite substantial( I can feel it with my nail) and would
probably account for the play on the bottom rod however the bearings
themselves seem unharmed???

Need I worry... Is there a process or a way I can rebuild this journal or do
I need to find another crank?

Many Thanks

Stan

Stant,
Their are methods and shops in the states that can handle that. Don't know if there are any in Scotland.
If you're really stuck for a repair, call us at (860) 683-1317.
Regards, NEECA
