On a recent outing, family had the boat out and ran out of gas or oil or both. I have a 2000 model 115 horse Merc. It has an oil injection tank on the front side of the motor which is visable when you remove the motor housing. The engine quit suddenly and thought to be out of gas. At the same time, there was only perhaps 1 cup of oil left in the oil tank. When both were refilled, the engine did not start up again, although it cranks well. Any ideas on why it will not start up again. Is there a low oil sensor that will prevent start up? If so, what should be done to check it out and get it going again? Thanks for any assistance.

problem maker
