Power trim & tilt stuck on

I have an older single solenoid trim and tilt unit that seems to be stuck in the on position. I was using it on the lake and suddenly the switch seemed to be stuck in the on position and the unit would not turn off until it was disconnected from the battery. I replaced the switch and the solenoid and the unit is still stuck in the on position. Even if I remove all 3 wires from the switch and give the TNT electricity it will still move up or down. Is there another switch that may have gone bad? It was working fine and then stopped. Thanks for any advice

I'm confused about having 1 solenoid. There should be an up and a down solenoid and it sounds like the up 1 is stuck. How old is it?

Re: Power trim & tilt stuck on

This power TNT unit does only have one solenoid as it's a single solenoid unit. I believe it's a mid 70's model. I had a merc mechanic take a quick look at it and he did confirm that it was indeed an older style single solenoid.
