Default New boat and motor

Hi all,Just bought a new boat and motor. Boat is a Legend V-166 AllSport and the motor is a Mercury 60hp 4 Stroke.Just wondering before a take my boat out for the first time on the water if all you wise boaters have any do's and don't for me.ThanksRaymond

go slowly and get the feel of how the boat handles, you have no brakes, reverse works when docking but don't consider it a brake. watch for debrie, most accidents happen when the captain is oogling some chick hanging out of a bikini. when you get comfortable go in some big circles and see how it handles to wakes. then you can cut the circles smaller. learn what it will and will not do..
