remote tilt switch not working

Switch on the cowl works but the button on the handle does not. Cut the wire under the center console, connected the wires together: no go. Will I have to fish a new wire to the motor? If I touched the wires together under the console it should of operated the tilt ?.<br /> Thanks, Dead Eye

We had the same problem and had a wire broken. We took the handle apart and it was fine but that could still be your problem. Every other button worked!

what color was the wires you crossed? depending the the model control box you have, the power wire for the tilt/trim switch may be fused. but reguardless the wire color codes should be green/white(down) blue/white(up) red(power)<br /><br />hope this helps
