Mariner 30M, Help With Year

Hello, I recently purchased a Mariner 30M outboard. I'm looking to purchase a Service Manual for it but would first like to identify the year of the motor. While searching the forum I found a few lists that have helped me narrow it down, but am not 100% sure of the year. Here is the info from the motor:<br /><br />Model: 30M<br />Serial: 689 L 315101<br /><br />I'm assuming the "M" means manual as in tiller and the "L" means long shaft. When looking at most of the charts they state something along the lines of 30A ML 689-.... But my numbers do not match any of these. They do match "30A EL 689-310820 - 689-413868 1984" but the "30A EL" does not seem to match. The only other one that appears to match is "30 ML 689B-303783 - 1985", but I'm not sure if the "303783-" means "and above" or "only".<br /><br />Anyway, any help you guys can provide would be much appreciated.
