1998 75hp won't run

This engine will not start even after it has been running for several minutes. The only way to get it started is to put some fuel into the carbs while cranking. It runs fine until it is either put into gear, or shut off then it will not start again.<br /><br />Any suggestions as where to start?

WM,<br /><br />Sounds like you could have an air leak into the manifold/crankcase, or low float levels in the carbs, or the idle speed is backed off to slow.
