1995-97 Mercury 25 hp electric start

Looking for the Lower Unit Gear Oil plugs and gaskets. The old owner really burggered them up and had to use a punch to tap them loose. Rounded out so a screw driver wouldn't stay in the slot. Also would be interested in a flat head screw driver that would fit the heads of the plugs tightly and have the same width.

This motor is a Tracker on a modified V Pro 16 Bass Tracker. The boat was titled in 95 but sold new in Omaha, NE in 97.

We have a "Boater's World" here and they have the plugs and gaskets you need. For a better fit from a screwdriver, get the largest one you can find (Sears, etc.) and maybe put it on a grinder till the thickness better fits. But, if you put the new one in right, I don't think you would have to worry about it. The old one may have been screwed in so tight trying to stop a leak that a .15 gasket would have fixed.
