Fuel Tank Connector

I am trying to remove the fuel connector from my tank. I don't know the exact type of tank material, its non metal, I'd call it plastic. Anyway, My ultimate goal is to check the pick up tube for blockage. I am having fuel starvation problems. I have removed the anti-siphon valve but the other piece remains. It appears to be threaded on both ends, so I thought it would screw out after loosening the large flat nut that holds it down. I have pulled, turned, twisted and this thing will not come out. It will rotate with effort, but does not move up or down. Has anyone run into this? I have a good picture if anyone would like me to email it to them. I just don't want to damage the tank.

Re: Fuel Tank Connector

If the restriction is at the tank, good chance the anti siphon valve is the culprit.
