Want to de-carb my 1983 115 mercury using the Garden hose muff attachment. Should I keep the rpms low using this device or can I open the engine up to full rpms with full stream of water going to the engine?

Never run on high RPM's without load on your prop! There is a high risk of the engine running wild, with exessive damage as a result!

-M-

Re: Garden Hose Muffs

I spray some decarb in mine at about 2000 rpm's on muffs and have never had a problem. Only do it for a brief second though. Worked great on my last 2 boats and the one I have now. Good luck.
