We Changed the impellar on a 3.0 mercruiser I/O because we weren't getting water to the motor. Now still no water getting to motor. Any ideas on what we can do from here? The boat is a 1988 Starline.

Hi Cathy & Craig,

Welcome to iBoats.

First try this. Remove the water inlet hose from the thermostat housing and flash up the engine. You should be getting a good, solid stream of water. If you don't then the problem is between the leg impeller and that hose. You'll find that hose is about an inch in diameter and runs from the inside of the transom, along the top of the mainfold and into the back of the thermo housing. I assume the engine is the same vintage as the boat so if you still can't find it, let me know and I'll post a picture for you.... :D

Chris..........

P.S. You'd probably get more responses if you had posted this in the I/O section. Don't worry, I'm sure one of the mods will move it for you.... :D :D :D :D :D
