changing impeller

I was changing the impeller on my Mariner 150 and didn't notice which direction the impeller was turning on the shaft. Does it matter which direction I bend the fins when I install the new inpeller?

Absolutely it does!<br />Turn the driveshaft clockwise as you seat the impeller housing down over the impeller.
