Hi there Willy, sorry I was'nt clear but I am wanting to charge my battery for my navigation lights. On my Chrysler I connected the battery directly to some terminals next to the flywheel which charged the battery whilst motoring. Excuse my ignorance! Sinbad

You should be able to add a "lighting stator" to this motor and you might find one on ebay with some patience. I have seen two in the last four months. To use this to charge a battery will also require a rectifier. You can get the Mercury version (might come with your stator) or get a full wave bridge rectifier at Radio Shack.

You will find a parts list here that includes the lighting stator, which is no longer available from Mercury:

http://www.mercruiserparts.com/Show...g&inbr=464&bnbr=180&bdesc=ELECTRIC+COMPONENTS
