Merc/Mariner 75 hp Stator

Hi

I have just replaced a faulty Stator on my Mariner 75 1993.

Can anyone tell me if this original Stator had been 9 amp or 16 amp.

Is it just the new red type Stators that are 16 amp.

I am concerned that I have replaced a 9amp Stator with a 16amp one.

Hi!

The right part number for 75hp mariner with S/N 9589039 THRU 9793576 is:

398-832075A5 Superceded From 398-9710A30.

If you had a regulator on top of the air box, you had a 16 amp already.

If you only had a rectifier and no regulator, you had a 9 amp stator.
