Hello there MM, Welcome to the iboats forum, you'll gain access to the impeller by disconnecting the lower unit. I suggest you acquire a service manual for your motor, read it about 3 to 4 times prior to starting this procedure.Good luck and keep us informed of your progress, there are lots of good folks here to guide you along should you get stuck
