Power Trim Update

Appears that whatever I tightened has helped. Tried to hit the starter motor last 2 days and all is fine. NOW, as I run the trim motor up and let off of it there is a slight squealing noise when I release the trim button and it stops the up cycle. It's a little jerky in the down cycle but no noises. Don't know if the noise is from the hydraulics or the electric motor. I'm guessing the motor from the location of the sound, but would think it would do it up or down, not just one way. I checked the fluid level and lost some so I topped it off. Any ideas out there??

Re: Power Trim Update

The motor isn't working quite as hard when going down as it is when pushing up, that may be why the squealing is more prominent when raising outboard. I can't say what the squealing could actually be though.
