Stator and Timing Belt - 1973 Mercury 150 hp (1500)

I am repairing a 1973 Mercury 150 hp (1500) outboard. Does anyone know where I can get a reasonable used stator and timing belt? You can use 03502950 for a reference serial #.

You never want to use a USED timing belt on anything. But here is a site that can get you whatever you may need.

I could not find the timing belt on that site. Any other suggestions?

Nate, Those belts are common to a lot of 4/6 cylinder Mercs. Your local dealer should have it. I think I paid about $20 for it, when I purchased one a couple of years ago. I also think Sierra would have one. www.dougrussell.com has one (Part No. 20140) for $25.

Hey, glad I plugged in on this thread. I am suprised that the aforemention site did not have what you need. They probably need to put in a stock. Profit margin on that item could probably keep them in business for a long time. Mine was 25 something plus shipping. BOAT!
