Got boat back, with bottom end done. Now it seems that I cant get up over 15-20 mph without my motor just reving out(seems like slipping).Even when putting in neutral,Will not rev over approx 2500 to 3000 rpm.fuel problem?

Re: No power 115 merc.

It depends on your remote control. The warm-up lever won't give you full throttle. 2500 to 3000 sounds about right.

As for your revving problem under load, I'd suspect a spun prop hub. Strange that it would happen just after you had your gearcase resealed, though. Make sure yout prop is installed correctly. If the thrust washer is on backwards there might be a gap between the prop and the gearcase where enough exhaust could leak out and cause a lot of bubbles to the blades.

i think it may not be running on all cylinders. i had a 50hp that did same thing. it would only work so hard up to a certain point , and then just rev it lil a$s out.

check out your plugs. is one or maybe two look new and unburnt?

Thanks guys,I did take the prop off,and found that the hub was no good. Also, their were alot of bubbles through exhaust because of being worn.Thrust washer was installed corectly.Suprised also that the shop did'nt notice it either.thanks again
